Here is what you can expect

1. Let's Connect

After you have reached out via email or the website contact form, we will catch up over a phone or video call to get the conversation going.

We will chat about your plans, your vision for the day and how we can work together to see if we are the right match.

2. Book & Secure

If you would like to go ahead, let’s lock it in. This will involve a non refundable booking fee, for you to sign on the dotted line and then, let the fun begin! You can relax while I guide you through the process.

3. Let The Planning Begin

We will meet up in person, over a coffee or your drink of choice, or online to chat all things your wedding ceremony. It is here that we can get to crafting the ceremony of your dreams and create magic!

I will send you both a questionnaire to complete which will dive deeper into your story to date and your hopes for your future together.

I wil ask you to bring along your ID and to sign all of the required documents. I’ll take care of the legals and the paperwork while you can get on with the fun stuff!

4. Get Creative

I will then get creative based on our conversations and your responses to the questionnaire and I will craft a ceremony that is completely and authentically ‘You’. I will weave in the moments and the milestones, the love and the laughs and all of the sentiments that you would like included on your special day. I can share with you a draft, or we can keep it a surprise!

5. Celebrate

The Big Day. You can be confident that all of the ceremony details and legal aspects are taken care of and you can immerse yourself in the moment.

Relax, take it all in and enjoy your special day.

After the ceremony, I will finalise all of the legals and lodge your marriage documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Firstly, congratulations! Secondly, absolutely! The world of weddings can be wild and wonderful and the possibilities seem endless. If you are not sure where to start that is completely fine. I am here to help. I have lots of questions to help us to explore, ideas to help you to bring it to life and also ways that we can brainstorm to craft a completely unique ceremony that you will treasure forever!


  • When you know, you know! As soon as possible! If you have your date locked in, reach out and let’s get chatting.

  • This largely depends on how long you would like your ceremony to be!

    A legals only ceremony is typically around 2 minutes whereas a fully bespoke ceremony is usually around 20 -25 minutes.


  • Absolutely! I am based in Newcastle so the Hunter Valley, the Mid North Coast, the Central Coast and Sydney are right on my doorstep and I am always up for an adventure. If you have some where in mind, then please reach out.

    Also, please check my packages page for my current travel dates - if they align, let’s chat!

    I may charge a travel fee for destinations more than 100kms outside of Newcastle.


  • Of course! So much to say, just not sure how to say it? It’s understandable.

    Not sure if you want to write your own personal vows? That is perfectly fine too.

    I have lots of tips, tricks and examples to help you and also a personal vow guide. I can also support you to make sure your vows are the same sentiment, tone and length.


  • I create wedding ceremonies that are modern but timeless, warm, heartfelt, sentimental fun & engaging


  • There are a couple of legal requirements:

    • You must not be married to someone else.

    • You must not be in a prohibited relationship.

    • You must be at least 18 years old (If one party is 16 or 17, there must be court consent).

    • You must both understand what marriage means and be consenting to the marriage.

    • There will need to be 2 witnesses, aged 18+.

    • You will need to give a minimum of 1 months notice to the celebrant through the Notice Of Intended Marriage form. 

    • Use the specific legal working in the ceremony.

    • Be able to provide the relevant identification documents (ID)

  • There are a few very important documents that are required to make sure that your marriage is legally binding. I will make sure we have all bases covered here.

    • Noticed of Intended Marriage (NOIM): this document needs to be completed and lodged with the Celebrant a minimum of 1 month before the ceremony. We can fill this out together when we meet (your ID documents are required).

    • Declaration of No Legal Impediment (DONLI): this makes sure there are no legal reasons as to why you can not marry. This needs to be signed as close as possible to the day of the ceremony.

    • Official Certificate of Marriage: There are 2 of these, signed during the ceremony.

    • Certificate of Marriage: also signed at the ceremony and best for the photo opp at the end of the ceremony.

  • There are a few legal requirements included in the ceremony. I will make sure we have all bases covered so that you are officially married. Outside of these, we can shape the ceremony how you like!

    • The Monitum: A legal passage that the Celebrant must state.

    • Legal Vows: a sentence that each person must say.

    • Documents: We will ensure we have all 3 official documents signed during the ceremony.

    • Witnesses: 2 witnesses aged 18 years +must be present and sign the required documents.
