Jessica & Blake

On a crisp June afternoon at Maison La Plage in Noosa, Jessica and Blake tied the knot in a beachside ceremony that struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and lighthearted.

From the beginning, Jessica and Blake knew they wanted a ceremony that reflected them completely - no cookie cutter approach and an experience that felt relaxed and authentic. Their vision was for an experience that was sentimental, meaningful and romantic but equally engaging with plenty of room for laughter and fun.

The ceremony flowed through from the story of how they met, the unique qualities that have them falling more and more in love with each other, what lies at the heart of their connection and their dreams for the future as Husband and Wife. Their personal vows were a beautiful blend of love and laughter with many happy tears shared between them and also their guests.

Involving their family in their ceremony was really important to Jessica and Blake, so, when planning the ceremony we brainstormed many ideas on how we could bring this to life. We discussed how the ceremony could set the perfect stage for the rest of the celebrations throughout the day not just in setting the tone, but also logistically, bringing in the right sentiments to the ceremony whilst balancing a number of special speeches throughout cocktail hour and reception - ensuring all of the special words from their loved ones had their moment to shine.

Seeing their loved ones brought into the celebration in such beautiful ways was an honour to watch - Jessica’s sister shared a beautiful blessing and words from the heart in place of a reading or poem, both of their mothers witnessed their marriage, and their grandmothers were the all important ring bearers. Every single element was intentional and full of heart.

After the ceremony, the couple wanted to make sure guests could soak in the beautiful surroundings with plenty of time for mingling and congratulations.  Their guests stayed beachside to enjoy cocktails, cake, canapés, and some of the most moving speeches I’ve had the pleasure of hearing. The couple chose to cut their wedding cake during cocktail hour and it was such a hit with their guests enjoying champagne and cake as the sun went down.

After cocktail hour, the couple slipped away for portraits while the guests moved to the next part of the wedding experience - on to the iconic Catalina boat, where the celebration continued in true Jess and Blake style - dancing the night away under the stars.
